How to Apply for a Liberia Visa in Orlando
The city of Orlando, located in the Central Florida region of the United States and known as “the City Beautiful”, is ranked as America’s 23rd most-populous city. The Orlando metropolitan area has a population of 2.6 million people and is home to several theme parks including Walt Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios. Orlando’s theme parks, natural attractions, and year-round warm weather make it one of the most-visited cities in the world. The Orlando metropolitan area includes various cities and towns such as Kissimmee, Sanford, St. Cloud, Winter Garden, Winter Park, Altamonte Springs, and Apopka. While the Liberian immigrant community in Orlando is small, the Central Florida region has experienced tremendous population growth and is becoming an extremely diverse city. As more companies continue to invest in this region due to its business-friendly environment and low cost of living, there will be more relocation of Liberian (and other West African) immigrants to the Orlando area, following the trend of native-born Americans moving to the Sun Belt from other parts of the U.S. Orlando is also a destination for an increasing number of international students as schools like University of Central Florida and Valencia College expand.
Liberia is a West African country of over 5 million people that is about ¾ the size of Florida by land area and borders Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast, and the Atlantic Ocean. Monrovia is the country’s political capital and most populous city. Visitors to Liberia fly into Roberts International Airport, which has a modern passenger terminal and will soon have a new cargo terminal. Liberia’s economy depends mostly on the trading of commodities like gold, iron ore, rubber, palm oil, and other commodities along with overseas remittances from the one million Liberians living abroad. Although doing business in Liberia is not easy, there are opportunities for Orlando-area businesspeople to help develop the country’s economy, especially those with experience in tourism, food production, marketing, and international trade. Liberia is gaining in popularity as a tourist destination for heritage tours as more Americans want to understand their ancestral culture and history. Visitors to Liberia will surely enjoy the country’s tranquil beach resorts and natural environment. This is also a country where visitors will enjoy Liberian art and culture and its nascent music scene of contemporary Afro pop stars and nightlife.
