How to Apply for a Liberia Visa in Charlotte

Charlotte is the 23rd-most populous city in the United States and is the most populous city in the state of North Carolina.  Known as the Queen City, this metropolis of 2.6 million people has been one of the country’s fastest-growing cities the past two decades.  Charlotte’s youthful population, low cost of living, and geographical location in America’s Sun Belt, have made it an attractive destination for business investment.  The Charlotte metropolitan area is a sixteen-county region that stretches into the state of South Carolina and includes the towns of Concord, Gastonia, Huntersville, Kannapolis, Indian Trail, Mooresville, Monroe, Salisbury, Matthews, Cornelius, Mint Hill, Statesville, Shelby, Rock Hill (SC), and Fort Mill (SC).  There are an estimated 3,000 Liberian immigrants living in the Charlotte area and as many as 10,000 throughout North Carolina.  Charlotte is home to a nonprofit organization representing the Liberian community and the city even has a Liberian restaurant.

Liberia is a West African country of over 5 million people that is slightly smaller than the state of North Carolina by land area.  Monrovia is the country’s political capital and most populous city.  Visitors to Liberia fly into Roberts International Airport, which has a modern passenger terminal and will soon have a new cargo terminal.  Liberia’s economy relies on the exportation of commodities and overseas remittances from the one million Liberians living abroad.  Although doing business in Liberia is not easy, English is the official language of the country and there are plenty of business opportunities here.  The Liberian economy would benefit greatly from Charlotte-area investors with experience in the tourism, food production, financial technology, and engineering sectors.  Liberia is gaining in popularity as a tourist destination for heritage tours as more Americans want to understand their ancestral culture and history.  Liberia also has wonderful beach resorts and abundant natural beauty and national parks, including Sapo National Park.
