How to Apply for a Liberia Visa in Boston

Boston is one of America’s oldest cities and has a rich history that attracts over 20 million tourists each year.  Known as the “intellectual capital of the United States”, Boston is a center of education that has more than 350,000 college students from around the world, making up over 7% of the metro area’s population.  Greater Boston is the eleventh-most populous metropolitan area in the United States with a population of 4.9 million people, and includes towns such as Cambridge, Brookline, Quincy, Brockton, Lynn, Newton, Waltham, and Medford.  There are at least 500 Liberian immigrants living in the Boston-area and about 1,000 living throughout the state of Massachusetts.  Boston was the home of Jefferson Krua, founder of Liberian online newspaper The Bush Chicken.  He is a great example of Liberia’s potential if more of its immigrants return ‘home’ to help revitalize the economy using the skills and knowledge they acquire from abroad in cities like Boston.

Liberia is a West African country of over 5 million people that is about four times the size of Massachusetts by land area.  Visitors to Liberia fly into Roberts International Airport, located in the town of Harbel, which is home to the 4-star Farmington Hotel.  The airport has a modern passenger terminal and will soon have a new cargo terminal.  Liberia’s economy relies on the exportation of minerals and agricultural commodities along with overseas remittances from the Liberians living abroad in cities like Boston.  While there are Boston-area nonprofit firms like John Snow, Inc working to improve the public health of Liberians, there are plenty of opportunities for Americans interested in money making ventures in Liberia dealing in tourism, education, food production and international trade.  Liberia is gaining in popularity as a tourist destination for heritage tours as more Americans want to understand their ancestral culture and history in towns like Paynesville, Careysburg, and Buchanan.  Liberia has wonderful beach resorts and wildlife sanctuaries around the town of Marshall.
