Saudi Arabia Umrah Visa

1 - Passport Submit the actual passport and make sure It has empty visa pages and will not expire within 6 months from the date of departure.

2 - Four color passport size photos Must be taken within the last 6 months. See link for guidelines: https://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/passports/photos/photo-composition-template.html

3 - Copy of marriage certificate (married adults) 

4 - Visa application Must be filled out properly with a black pen and in CAPITAL LETTERS. This link is for the visa application:

Please fill out and then print the application. Make sure to sign the application and “NOTICE ON SAUDI LAWS AND REGULATIONS”.

5 - Vaccination for meningitis (ACYW135) For infants and children up to fifteen (15) years of age, a vaccination report is required for polio as well as meningitis. Children over fifteen (15) years of age should present the same vaccinations requested for adults.

6 - The Mahram should write his complete information on the application forms of his spouse and children or any relative with whom he is traveling. He should also provide copies of marriage or birth certificates; if these documents were issued outside the US, he should then provide copies translated and notarized by a certified translation office.

7 - All women are required to travel for Umrah with a Mahram. Proof of kinship must be submitted with the application form. Women over the age of forth-five (45) may travel without a Mahram with an organized group, however, they must submit a no-objection letter from her husband, son or brother authorizing her to travel for Umrah with the named group. This letter should be notarized.

8 - Pilgrims who have non-Islamic names must have a certificate or a letter from an Islamic Center proving their conversion to Islam. If the applicant has converted to Islam, he/she should provide an Islamic certificate notarized by an Islamic Center.

Important note:

  • Visitors should not overstay the time granted by the visa.
  • The validity of the Umrah visa is one month.
  • Applicants must travel to Saudi Arabia within 15 days from the date of issue of the visa.
  • The applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a permanent resident or a holder of a valid residency visa in the United States of America. (i.e.: student visa, H1, etc.).

Visitors in the Kingdom shall abide by the Country’s Islamic laws and regulations and respect its society’s values and traditions.  The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has stringent anti-drug trafficking laws, which are strictly enforced. Sectarian, political or religious gatherings are forbidden.  Violators are subject to severe consequence, which may include the death penalty.
